Jake Kobrin is an internationally renowned and multidisciplinary artist who is now revealing his inaugural art collection to a selective audience of Blind Boxes community members, including investors and pre-registered members who have premier access to the Marketplace.
Born and raised in San Francisco, Jake Kobrin has traversed several continents, studying traditional drawing and painting practices at the Angel Academy of Art in Florence, Italy. His work has graced transformational events such as the Burning Man and Boom Festivals, renowned festivals known for their freespirit and artistic environment.
His expertise in psychedelic art is a result of his deep commitment to his craft, as well as an homage to a prestigious lineage of artists such as Alex Gray, Ernst Fuchs, and Gustav Moreau.
Jake is also a talented magician whose work has been influenced by the Occult, Mystery School, and Mystical traditions of Western Esotericism as well as the Eastern spiritual traditions of Buddhism, Hinduism, Animism, and Tantra.
His collection ‘Cosmic Wanderlust’ portrays the numerous extravagant journeys he has undertaken to the farthest reaches of the mind, and the gems he has brought back with him for all to see.
His work explores the interplay of shadows and light, not only in the delicate modelling of the forms that his pictures present but also in the character of the subjects he portrays, showing a willingness to embrace all aspects of emotion — from revelation and peace, to fear and disharmony.
Jake currently lives in Ubud, Bali.
