Artist Spotlight: catswilleatyou

Blind Boxes is thrilled to announce American artist Matt Semke a.k.a. Catswilleatyou as a featured NFT creator and curator of the platform. His art pushes the limits beyond analog and digital forms of mixed-media including painting, drawing, animation, films, and music video production. Semke’s work has been exhibited at art and film festivals across the USA, Canada, Australia, and Europe.

Catswilleatyou has published a new piece of art every day since December 18, 2006, making him the longest-running ‘#everyday’ artist (even beating the highly publicized Beeple who recently sold a single piece of digital art at Christie’s auction house for a record-breaking price of $69M).

His animated music video titled ‘Can I Wait’ for pop and opera singer Soubrette was selected to be shown at the International Music Video Awards in London, and the 2021 Rome Music Video Awards. Several of his animations have also been featured at ‘Rare Effect Vol.2’, Europe’s first multiformat NFT Festival that takes place annually in a virtual as well as physical setting at Arroz Estudios in Lisbon, Portugal.

catswilleatyou will curate a 3D limited edition collection titled ‘Aberrations of Contemplation’ scheduled for a May 20, 2021 release date on Blind Boxes. This multi-artist collaboration will feature renowned creators such as Shindo, Onderwish, and Lumi as well as his own exclusive works.
