Behind the Drop: HashLips Releases ‘Super Rare with Flair’ NFT Collection On The Blind Boxes Marketplace
Coming off his successful debut and sold out collections of Hashlips on the Blind Boxes platform, Daniel Eugene Botha, the talented NFT artist and brainchild behind the Hashlips project is all geared up to drop a new Super Rare series sold exclusively on the Blind Boxes marketplace.
Growing up in South Africa, Daniel’s creative inspiration began at home, with his grandmother already a famous and established artist. Immersed in this creative cocoon, Daniel spent the next decade dabbling in various mediums such as silk screen, digital artwork and hand painting.
A parallel career as a software developer was the ideal launchpad that propelled him into the NFT Metaverse. With strong technical skills built upon an artistic foundation, Daniel created Hashlips after a bit of casual banter when he caught his girlfriend pouting while she looked at her phone screen.
The process involves first creating numerous ‘lip’ designs, each with distinctive attributes such as color, add on accessories, and background shades. These raw images are then merged with one another using a specific JavaScript program coded by Daniel himself, that generates unique, time stamped PNG files of lip images, with a completely altered set of physical traits. These ‘Hashlips’ are then created and then afterwards recorded on a blockchain.
The project’s algorithm has been coded to only create a total of 10000 Hashlips. Furthermore, 1% of the total Hashlips collection consists of Super Rares (100 Super Rares in total) while 3% of the total consists of Rares (300 in total).
