Blind Boxes Monthly Review: March 2021

They say teamwork makes the dream work, and this adage proves to be a living testament for us at Blind Boxes in the months gone by. We’ve had a busy, yet incredibly productive March a quick recap highlighting the most relevant updates and accomplishments for our team at Blind Boxes.

Blind Boxes Community & News

At the beginning of this month we started off with a few hundred members in our community channels. Today, we can proudly say that our Telegram has grown to over 10,000 active members while we are well on our way to reaching 15,000 followers on Twitter organically. We want to take this moment to express our deepest gratitude to the Blind Boxes community for supporting this project and our lean globally distributed team who are working around the clock to ensure we provide you with the latest updates, news, drops, and collaborations. We’ve been featured in Forbes and Fortune India and have been covered extensively by major crypto Youtubers.

Anita Moore, co-founder & CEO, Blind Boxes:

“March has been a month of milestones for our team. The onboarding of a promising roster of artists combined with exciting initial partnerships has given us the confidence to propel forward. The path ahead is exciting, and we are inspired by our growing community to think bigger in the times ahead.”

Partnerships

Teaming up with NiftyKit will offer creators a streamlined non-technical interface to mint their own NFTs. Collaborating with Blockchain Cuties Universe will supply the platform with quality collectibles to look forward to once the platform launches. These alliances allow other platforms to leverage our unique, gamified mechanism while also unlocking exciting new possibilities for our community to access a wider range of digital assets in the realm of NFTs.

Similar alluring partnerships are in the pipeline in the months ahead and we would encourage our followers to stay tuned and watch this space for more.

The reception from the artist community has been astounding. We’ve received hundreds of applications this month from Creators and have been meticulous in our selection process as we onboard and schedule artists who are both NFT veterans and newcomers to the arena. We will be announcing several big drops including a social impact-based series that will include three signed cartoon drawings by Rick & Morty creator Justin Roiland, 1980s British New Wave band Wang Chung, Instagram sensation and exotic artist Mateja Petkovic who goes by the moniker Milk For My Coconut, and graffiti art collective NFT Murals co-founded by Nanu Berks and StaySeaArt who will be tokenizing the murals of international street artists and include digital stills and 1-minute timelapse videos of the process to promote hyperlocal beautification and activist projects around the world. Art dealers and galleries we have invited on as Curators represent legendary artists such as Shepard Fairey, Richard Orlinski, Takashi Murakami, and more.

Roadmap & IDO

On March 10th, we announced our roadmap for 2021, starting with the immediate plans of onboarding more creators, our mainnet launch and token offerings on various centralized and decentralized exchanges, to a migration to Polkadot later in the year, which will allow us to scale interoperability across multiple blockchains.

We also announced the launch of our Initial Dex Offering (IDO) on BSCPad as well as Paid Network’s Ignition. The IDO’s took place simultaneously on March 26th, and subsequently began trading on Uniswap and Pancakeswap. The public sale opening price for $BLES was 0.15 USD. The token went on to see a daily trading volume of ~100 million USD and a 7980% rise in its price on day one.

Tokenomics

On March 16th, we introduced our native token $BLES that lies at the heart of our project along with various methods to acquire, earn and utilize the token.

On March 25th, we published a follow up article on our token metrics. Here we showcased a break-up of the capital raised in various stages of our journey, along with details of the total supply in circulation and the distribution of $BLES among various stakeholders.

Our vesting schedule includes an 80% lockup for private stage investment and an 85% lockup for seed stage investment which has reflected the long-term commitment our investors have made in the project, attributing to the incredible success of our $BLES governance token which will be programmed for greater utility in the DeFi space including crowdfunding, staking, and NFT fractionalization in the months ahead.

Competitions

On March 19th, we announced two competitions — one for creators and one for collectors that created a storm in the crypto metaverse!

Digital creators had the opportunity to come up with amazing visuals of $BLES in 2D/3D, meme, drawing or animation formats and three selected winners received $200 USD in BLES tokens as well as had their creations included as NFTs in a Special Edition Blind Box release.

On the other hand, three lucky collectors won an awesome giveaway — the top-ranked NFT chosen from the creator competition as long as they followed our social channels and had passed their KYC and fulfilled other terms and conditions.

The competitions played a key role in significantly growing our community.

It’s upward and onward for Team BlindBoxes!
