Blind Boxes x Nori collaboration: CO2 removal NFTs coming soon

We are committed to providing value for our community through partnerships with exciting projects across the blockchain ecosystem. Today we are pleased to announce a partnership with Nori, an organization on a mission to mitigate and reverse climate change through carbon removal.

How it works

Nori’s marketplace enables users to remove and store atmospheric carbon dioxide through the buying and selling of carbon offset credits bundled as NFTs. This financial mechanism creates fresh opportunities for climate innovation. Their focus is centered on growing the financial incentive and supply of carbon removal credits, which comprise just 5% of the supply in offset markets.

With Nori’s API for carbon removal, users can choose to pay for carbon removal to negate the impacts of the product or service they are paying for, whether it’s shipping, manufacturing, or operation. Currently, Nori sources carbon removal by supporting farmers adopting regenerative agriculture projects that are sequestering CO2 from the atmosphere.

This collaboration with Nori will empower creators and collectors on the Blind Boxes platform to do good with the proceeds from sales of NFTs on our platform. Through a UI-integrated mechanism on the Blind Boxes platform, artists will soon be able to earmark a portion of their proceeds towards purchasing Nori Carbon Removal Tonnes (NRTs), thus creating a climate positive future for their works on the blockchain.
