Introducing: Blind Boxes Launchpad

Social tokens represent a nascent class of assets backed by the reputation and potential of individuals and brands. Last year we witnessed the rise of this category, as creators found innovative ways to forge stronger relationships with their communities. In 2020, the most successful projects combining NFTs and social tokens were $WHALE and Connie Digital’s $HUE. When thinking about social tokens and profit sharing, Alex Masmej’s launch of $ALEX was a viral success. The young tech entrepreneur raised $20K via token sale in 2020 and went on to found Showtime, a decentralized social media platform for cryptoart.

Today, at the intersection of social tokens, profit sharing, and NFTs, we are pumped to introduce Blind Boxes Launchpad.

How it works

Launchpad enables creators and brands to host decentralized tokenized funding campaigns, right on the Blind Boxes platform.

Applications

Well-established creators, associations of artists, and emerging creative brands are encouraged to apply. Applicants should have an established portfolio of work and an engaged community of fans. Projects should also have a clear plan for the use cases and utility of their social token. Apply here to get started.

Vetting and Voting

Projects will be reviewed by an internal committee on a rolling basis. We aim to present our community with innovating, promising, high quality NFT projects. As such we are committed to conducting due diligence on the projects that we present via the Blind Boxes Launchpad.

After projects pass the initial review by the team, they will be presented to the BLES community. BLES token holders will be able to cast votes to decide which projects will launch each month.

Token Generation

Once the launch date is set, the projects will mint a predetermined amount of custom/branded ERC-20 tokens. This process will occur on a platform external to Blind Boxes.

Promotion

Blind Boxes will run creative marketing and PR campaigns to raise awareness about the tokensale. We will leverage the strength of our existing network and tap into adjacent communities to promote projects participating in Launchpad.

Token Sale

BLES token holders, that complete KYC, will be invited to participate in the social token sale. The event will continue until the project’s public allocation of tokens is sold out.

Post Sale

Social token holders will receive unique benefits after participating in the launch. The utility of each token will vary by project. One feature that will always be present will be a mechanism of profit-sharing between the creator and the token holders. For example, token holders may receive royalties from the creator’s future NFT sales.
